Leroy & Cie, Paris, chronograph with 60-minute register, 51mm, unusual very thin style with front/rear thickness of 8mm if crystal is excluded (this figure becomes 10mm if crystal is included), 18K gold OF original case with 1909 presentation within rear, gilt dial with 13 to 24 hour indications at perimeter, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, at least 21J, gilt mvt, s#13842 and s#22274 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 50.9 dwt (79.2 g). Comes with its original brown leather L. Leroy & Cie marked fitted leather box and also with an 18K gold very small chain with T-bar as pictured. Gross weight of 18K gold chain 1.3 dwt (1.9 g). An unusually thin and remarkably elegant high grade chronograph.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good chronograph and minute register function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, few small micro-fine scratches and mild small surface spots to plates, few small bits of oxide to chronograph steelwork; nearly flawless dial with few negligible tiny surface marks; nearly mint hands; case shows very little wear, profuse micro-fine scratches, small protruding ding toward upper perimeter of rear with some mild associated surface unevenness of immediately adjacent areas, few mild to very mild dings elsewhere to rear; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal; box shows medium wear, scattered bits of finish loss to exterior, inner surfaces with some fraying and soiling, inner lid liner signature with wear but remains legible, box closing with some misalignment and gap to its seat. Short chain in excellent cosmetic condition showing little wear.
